How do I display descriptions instead of technical keys in SAP MDG Drilldown Search?

To replace technical keys with descriptions in SAP MDG Drilldown Search, you enhance the generated HANA view in SAP HANA Studio by adding the relevant text tables and text joins. Then you expose the description fields in the view output and assign them in MDGIMG under General Settings -> Data Quality and Search -> Search and Duplicate Check -> Define Drill-Down Search Configuration.
Process flow
- Identify attributes in the generated HANA view that display technical keys.
- Identify the corresponding SAP text tables.
- Open the generated HANA view in SAP HANA Studio.
- Add the required text tables.
- Create text joins between the main table and text tables.
- Add the description fields to the view output.
- Activate the HANA view.
