This guide explains how to extend Business Partner consolidation or mass processing with a custom table such as ZSUPPLIER_RATING. It applies to SAP MDG 8.0 or higher and SAP S/4HANA 1610 or higher, and the example shows how supplier-rating data is loaded, processed, and finally stored in a custom Z-table after activation.
Process flow
- Use the guide to extend the Business Partner data model for MDG Consolidation or MDG Mass Processing.
- Prepare the prerequisite Central Governance extension if the data must flow into a Change Request.
- Create `ZCL_MDC_DATA_BP` inheriting from `CL_MDC_DATA_BP`.
- Redefine `TABLE_NAME_BY_TYPE` when the custom table name is 16 characters or when custom source/process table names are used.
- Redefine `APPEND_ACTIVE_RECORDS`.
- Redefine `IF_MDC_DATA~CONTAINS_LOB_DATA` if LOB data is involved.
- Create `ZCL_MDC_MODEL_BP` inheriting from `CL_MDC_MODEL_BP`.
