How do I configure replication for an MDG custom object using flex mode?

In MDG flex mode, active custom-object data is stored in generated tables and replicated with DRF from the model's active data only. The source guide shows an end-to-end example using data model ZZ, business object ZZSF, outbound interface ZZ_SFLIGHT, replication model ZZSF, and runtime execution with DRFOUT.

In the flex option, MDG Custom Object active data is stored in generated tables, and replication is performed through the Data Replication Framework using the active data only. The guide’s example walks through model ZZ, entities CARR and CURR, outbound interface ZZ_SFLIGHT, and replication model ZZSF.

Process flow

  1. Create/generate flex data model `ZZ` with `CARR`, `CURR`, and their relationship.
  2. Identify generated tables with `USMD_DATA_MODEL`.
  3. If required, enable key mapping.
  4. Create Business Object Type and Main Context assignment.
  5. Define Object Node.
  6. Create/assign Object Identifier Type.
  7. Generate `CARR` and `CURR` data-model-specific structures.
  8. Verify generated structures in `SE11`.
