How do I integrate SAP Business Workflow as a local workflow engine in SAP MDG Cloud-Ready Mode?
From MDG on SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS02, you can trigger a local SAP Business Workflow for a selected MDG process step instead of a BTP workflow. The example uses BUS2240.START_STEP_WF, standard tasks based on CL_MDC_WF_PROCESS_URL, and a Send Mail step to deliver approval links for the MDG process and related records.
From MDG on SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS02, you can trigger a local SAP Business Workflow for a selected MDG process step instead of a BTP workflow. From SAP S/4HANA 2023 FPS02 onward, MDG Cloud-Ready Mode can use a local SAP Business Workflow instead of BTP Workflow for selected process steps. The documented example triggers BUS2240.START_STEP_WF, retrieves process and record URLs with CL_MDC_WF_PROCESS_URL, and sends an approval email with the links.
