How do I create a user interface for Multiple-Record Processing for Material in SAP MDG?

SAP MDG Material supports Multiple-Record Processing from MDG 7.0 / SAP S/4HANA 1511 using a tabular FPM-based UI. Build it with the standard material application configuration, generic feeder classes, UIBBs and wires, then integrate the Change Request UIBB for Save/Check/Activate.

SAP MDG Material supports Multiple-Record Processing as a tabular UI for handling several material records in one change request. The standard implementation is based on Web Dynpro, Floorplan Manager, generic feeder classes, UIBBs, and wires, with the Change Request UIBB providing Save, Check, and Activate.

Process flow

  1. Create or copy the Web Dynpro application configuration for MDG_BS_MAT_MC.
  2. Assign the OVP component configuration to FPM_OVP_COMPONENT.
  3. Set application parameter USMD_OTC = 194 for model MM.
  4. Leave USMD_CREQ_TYPE and USMD_CREQUEST dynamic unless an existing change request is being transferred.
  5. Create or reuse the model-specific assistance class based on CL_USMD_MC_GEN_ASSIST.
  6. Use CL_USMD_MC_FEEDER_LIST for list UIBBs and CL_USMD_MC_FEEDER_FORM for form UIBBs.
  7. Create the OVP page MAIN and add the main FPM_LIST_UIBB_ATS UIBB.
  8. Add the dependent list or form UIBBs required by the entity chain for material maintenance.」「Configure the full entity relationship chain from root type-1 entity to dependent type-4/text entities.」「Wire the UIBBs using valid 1:1 or 1:cn key

ObjectPurpose
MDG_BS_MAT_LENTYContains leading entity information that restricts copy behavior for dependent entities
V_USMD_MC_LIMITUsed for warning/error limits in MURP processing
TADIRStores repository object directory entry data such as Original System for classes and other objects
OMSRMaterial master Customizing that influences which field values are copied
USMD models MM and BPLean classification is supported only for these models in the MURP list feeder
