Why is my TR task showing as repair, even though it is a custom object changed?

A task shows as a repair when SAP still considers the object to belong to another original system in its object directory entry. If your current development system is the legitimate owner, correct the Object Directory Entry in SE03; otherwise keep the original ownership unchanged.

In SAP, a transport task can appear as a repair even for a custom object if the object directory entry still points to a different original system. The fix is to review the repository object in SE03 and, if the current system is the legitimate development/original system, correct the Object Directory Entry there.

Process flow

  1. Open SE03 and go to Transport Organizer Tools → Change Object Directory Entries.
  2. Enter the repository object in the form R3TR <Object Type> <Object Name>.
  3. Select the object and open Object Directory Entry.
  4. Review Package and Original System.
  5. If the current system is the real development/original system, correct the Original System and save.
  6. Reopen the object in SE24 if you are checking a class-related repair/source-code issue.
