How do I configure MDG Change Request Analytics using master data attributes in SAP S/4HANA?
MDG Change Request Analytics lets you analyze change requests by master data attributes. On SAP S/4HANA 2020/2021 onwards, the setup starts with generating Basic CDS Views in MDGIMG, then generating the analytics CDS view, and finally exposing it through either Smart Business/Fiori or SAP Analytics Cloud.

MDG Change Request Analytics analyzes master data attributes in change requests, such as open CRs for a product type or other critical fields. The configuration is backend-first: generate Basic CDS Views in MDGIMG, then create the analytics CDS view, and finally expose it through Smart Business/Fiori or SAC.
Process flow
- Start transaction
MDGIMG. - Navigate to Process Analytics → Generate Basic CDS Views for Process Analytics.
- Select the required MDG data model.
- Choose Generate.
- If the model changes later, regenerate the Basic CDS Views.
- Start transaction
MDGIMGagain. - Navigate to Process Analytics → Generate CDS Views for Process Analytics.
