How do I create a Cost Center Group in SAP MDG with auto approval?
In SAP MDG, create the cost center group from the Fiori app Manage Cost center group - Governance, enter Controlling area, Cost center group, and Name, assign the group under Cost center group assignments in Cost center group hierarchies, then check and submit. For this mass-maintenance scenario, the change request is auto-approved and the group becomes available in MDG and S/4HANA.

Use Manage Cost center group - Governance for the creation request, then maintain the cost center group master data and its hierarchy assignment before checking and submitting the change request. In the mass-maintenance auto-approval flow, the request goes to Final check approved and the created group can then be verified in Manage Cost Center Groups in S/4HANA.
Process flow
- Log in to Fiori Launchpad with the cost center mass maintenance user.
- Open Manage Cost center group - Governance.
- Create a new change request for cost center group creation.
- Maintain Controlling area, Cost center group, and Name.
- Navigate to Cost center group assignments in Cost center group hierarchies.
- Choose New and open Hierarchy assignment.
- Enter the Cost center group root node and click GO.
- Select the Cost center group and mark Assign as Subnode, then confirm the hierarchy fields update correctly. Use Check and expect No errors found. Submit the change request and verify Final check approved. Open Manage Cost Center Groups inS
