How do I create and approve a Profit Center in SAP MDG with final approval by the MDG team?
Use the requestor app Manage Profit center - Governance to create the Profit Center change request, maintain basic data, hierarchy assignment, address, and company-code assignments, then submit it for MDG approval. The approver uses My Change Requests - Monitoring or the email link to approve the request, after which the Profit Center is active and visible in Manage Profit Center Master Data.
Use the requestor app Manage Profit center - Governance to create the Profit Center change request, maintain basic data, hierarchy assignment, address, and company-code assignments, then submit it for MDG approval. The approver uses My Change Requests - Monitoring or the email link to approve the request, after which the Profit Center is active and visible in Manage Profit Center Master Data.
Use the requestor app Manage Profit center - Governance to create the change request, maintain the basic details, hierarchy assignment, address, and company-code assignments, then run Check and Submit. The approver then opens the request from the email link or from My Change Requests - Monitoring and approves it, after which you verify the record in Manage Profit Center Master Data.
Process flow
- Log on to Fiori Launchpad with the Profit center Requestor user.
- Open Manage Profit center - Governance.
- Click New to create a Profit Center change request.
- Maintain Name, Medium text, and Person responsible.
- Add the Profit Center hierarchy assignment in Profit Center assignments in Profit center group hierarchies.
- Choose the configured root node, click GO, then select the group and Assign as Subnode.
- Maintain the Profit center Address fields, including NAME3.
