SAP MDG Material can process multiple records in a tabular UI through Multiple-Record Processing (MURP). The standard build uses the Web Dynpro application `MDG_BS_MAT_MC`, the OVP component configuration `FPM_OVP_COMPONENT`, generic feeder classes for list and form UIBBs, and a Change Request UIBB for Save, Check, and Activate. You also need to configure the entity relationship chain, wires, toolbar actions, and optional features such as Add, Copy, Find and Replace, and highlighting.
Process flow
- Define the material maintenance scenario and the required type-1 and dependent type-4 entities.
- Create the Web Dynpro application configuration for `MDG_BS_MAT_MC`.
- Assign `FPM_OVP_COMPONENT` and set `
USMD_OTC= 194`. - Leave `
USMD_CREQ_TYPE` and `USMD_CREQUEST` unconfigured unless you need dynamic transfer from navigation. - Create or select the model-specific assistance class inheriting from `CL_USMD_MC_GEN_ASSIST`.
- Create custom feeder classes only if customer-specific enhancement is required.
