Use the predefined custom-field extensibility of SAP Master Data Governance, cloud edition. In the guide’s example, you create a Business Partner field named Sales Category on BUT000 with a Code List semantic type and the values Normal, Critical, and Internal. Step 1 is mandatory; the other steps are only needed if you want the field shown in Central Governance, Consolidation, Data Quality Management, validation rules, or SOAP replication to SAP S/4HANA.
Process flow
- Open Configure Predefined Custom Fields in the SAP Fiori launchpad.
- Choose Create to start the wizard.
- Select the technical type and field length.
- Enter the label and set Semantic Type to Code List for the example scenario.
- Maintain the code-list values Normal, Critical, and Internal.
- Choose Next Step, review the setup, then Create and Publish.
- Check that the services are Enabled and publish them if required.
